Welcome to my web page "Tossed 'N Tumbled"! I started collecting rocks since I was very young and have always loved the diversity and beauty of rocks. Since moving to Cape Cod, I have been blessed not only to have the ocean to experience, but also treasures the sea chooses to toss up on the shores! I have collected lots of beautiful stones and rocks from many beaches. The waves toss and tumble the stones over and over and the results can be breathtaking! In choosing a name for my business, the images of the waves rolling the stones back and forth with each wave was what I hoped to create by using "Tossed 'N Tumbled".
I bring home my treasures and continue the polishing process by tumbling the stones through four, sometimes five, stages to get the rocks smooth and shiny. This process can take four or five weeks to complete. I then take the stones and wire wrap into pendants, bracelets or rings. I have also purchased many cabochons from several talented artists to use in my jewelry. I am continuously learning new techniques to jewelry making and hope to learn to cut rock on my slab saw and make my own cabochons with my Genie cabbing machine. As I continue to build this site, please enjoy my journey into jewelry making and designing.
